Aurora

Aurora Aksnes is a Norwegian singer and songwriter from Norway. She was born in Stavanger on June 15, 1996. Her professional name is Aurora. Her name could be also stylized by the name AURORA. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves has been released by Decca Records and was well received by music blogs. Half the World Away from the band Oasis was recorded to accompany an ad campaign for John Lewis, and Nature Boy is an Nat King Cole cover. The singer gained further attention via a blog post from Katy Perry where Perry endorsed her track Runaway. Enjoy her day. Aurora Aksnes first musical memory was discovering a piano in her loft, and becoming intrigued by its sounds. Jan Oystein Aksnes and May-Britt Aksnes urged Aurora to pursue music, not as work or for a passion and as a way to develop. Thus, she began with her own music. She has cited renowned songwriters Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan in her influences, along with a love for Bjork's style. Her mom encouraged her to play her music in front of the public, but not to gain fame but rather to help others realize the importance of their work and what they can do for the world. The piano was her first instrument at the age of six, and she started writing music when she turned nine. Her family didn't be aware of this until she was 14. Aurora has never imagined becoming a star. Aurora is simply a writer who loves writing songs. For her, music is the most effective way to express anything.
